Dolliethea Lamarjelene Carter-Sandridge, affectionately known as “Doll”, is a Chattanooga native and mother of two boys. She attended Chattanooga School for the Arts/Sciences, Tennessee State University, and UTC during her course of studies and is the owner of Covered by Doll LLC, a local Medicare brokerage, founded in 2018. She consults with Medicare beneficiaries regarding the supplemental options available and over the years has won awards as the top representative from United Healthcare and Humana. Dolliethea is very passionate about empowering women, particularly women of color, and is of the opinion we must mold, teach and inspire one another to perfect our legacy. Family, loyalty and perseverance are three values she holds dear which “fuels” her motivation. She characterizes her pleasures as one who “bleeds” music, loves sports, traveling, shopping and fine dining and considers it a privilege and honor to be part of such a prestigious organization.
The most important titles that Demetrus Coonrod will ever hold are “Mom” and “proud Grandmother.” Demetrus is a graduate of Chattanooga High School for Paideia and Performing Arts Phoenix Three. She is a first-generation college student majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She is a passionate community leader, committed advocate for the residents of Chattanooga and serves as an informal mentor to many in her community who are rebuilding their lives after leaving criminal activity behind. When she isn’t working toward social change in her community, she loves spending time with family, reading, and writing poetry. Demetrus holds membership in several organizations. Currently, she is a member of the Hamilton County Schools Leadership Program, Leadership Chattanooga Alumni, NAACP, National Black Caucus, National League of Cities, Order of Eastern Star Zia #1081, and Tennessee Municipal League. In addition, she serves on A Step Ahead Contraceptive Access Advisory Committee, Human Development Committee, Criminal Justice Reform Task Force, and Equity and Leadership Council. Ms. Coonrod is currently serving in her second four year term as Councilwoman representing District 9.
Marcie Keith is an entrepreneur and administrative professional who has committed twenty-six years of service to the City of Chattanooga government and currently serves as Administrative Secretary to the Commanders of Sector One Uniformed Command. She is a Chattanooga native and graduate of Brainerd High School, Edmondson School of Business, and currently attends Belhaven University. She has served as liaison and ambassador for numerous organizational, professional and religious platforms and has an innate and relentless desire to continuously serve others. She is former owner of Elite Consultation; however today she is the owner of Crown Concepts Consultation and Contracts Manager for Keith Monuments. Marcie’s list of accomplishments are impressive and lists her personal goal as keeping God first and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Professionally, she hopes to reach optimum success as a business owner and support humanitarian and philanthropic missions giving back to the community. Her hobbies are real estate staging and writing and considers her greatest accomplishment as being a proud mother of daughters Kia and Cydney and grandmother to Miss Angel-Noir.
Presita West is a former resident of Chicago, Illinois and has been a licensed Attorney for the past 21 years. She served as a Cook County Public Defender for 16 years representing clients charged with juvenile petitions, traffic cases and felony charges. Ms. West honed her teaching skills at the University of Chicago’s Intensive Trial Practice Workshop and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Midwest Trials Program. Prior to being employed as a Public Defender, Ms. West was the recipient of two fellowships serving the Englewood community through First Defense Legal Aid, receiving both the Equal Justice Works and Soros Justice Fellowship. During her fellowships she served as a community educator and attorney representing individuals detained in police custody in Chicago. Since relocating to Chattanooga, Ms. West has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. She is currently working on behalf of clients in the eastern district of the Tennessee federal system. She is the mother of three children and served many years on the Local School Council for Chicago Public Schools and remains an active football Mom.
