NCBW Celebrates 2018 ‘Black Pioneer Women of Excellence’ Honorees

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Chattanooga Chapter, Inc. (NCBW) honored three community leaders at its’ 17th Annual Black Pioneer Women of Excellence Awards Ceremony at Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church.

This year’s honorees are Dorothy Lee Grisham for achievements in Entrepreneurship; Mildred Moreland for achievements in Health; and Grace Lay Ragland for achievements in Education. The theme for the event is “Beacons of Brilliance.”

These women are truly remarkable as each has been role models and mentors to young women and peers alike; they have been firm believers that with hard work, faith, perseverance, dignity and prayer goals can be achieved.

This year, we had the privilege of sitting down with each honoree to gain insight into their life, family, community involvement and spiritual walk.
